There came a day when the woman no longer sat beside the gate with longing.  She sat in peace.  The ache had softened; the waiting had ripened into wisdom.  She had not forced the gate to open – she had learned to bloom beside it. 

There are some stories that are not told, they are felt.

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

There are moments in our journey where we reach the edge of our own strength, where the only path forward is surrender.  This parable is one of those moments for me.  It’s a story wrapped in symbolism, rooted in truth, and filled with grace I encountered when I finally laid my fears down and gave them to God.

The Void 

I was sitting at the kitchen table looking outside thru the window to the backyard I saw a Blue Jay.  I have never seen one before in the years that I lived at this house.  So, I watched the bird go up into the tree.

Hello there.  I have made the choice to begin my journey in this life, at a moment when everything I once expected has changed.   I had been divorced now for nine years and after the first year of my divorce, I began to date my ex again.  I thought we were working things out and getting back on track, then covid hit.  With covid and my job, my responsibilities began to pile up and my ex was not a part of my responsibility, so he chose a different path - one without me.  During this time, which was 5 years ago, I began my spiritual journey not knowing where life was going to take me.
